The Yevropeysky Shopping Centre
Moscow’s Yevropeysky Shopping Centre is conveniently located between Bolshaya Dorogomiloskaya Ulitsa and Kievsky Station Square (next to Kievskaya Metro station). The building has an area of 180,000 m2, and its unusual triangular design, by well-known architect Yury Platonov, was inspired by traditional Russian shopping arcades. Broad shopping “streets” radiate out from the central atrium, “Moscow”, to atria named after Paris, Rome, London and Berlin.
The Hotel Ukraina
The Hotel Ukraina (today, it is officially named the Radisson Royal Hotel, Moscow) is a five-star hotel in one of the Stalinist “Seven Sisters” skyscrapers, at 2/1 Kutuzovsky Prospect in central Moscow. With a 34-storey central section, the hotel has a total area of more than 88,000 m2, and is 206 m high, including its 73-m spire.
